Bullet-time Mirage

We love to surf, and we love seeing technology applied to surfing in useful ways.

To promote the Mirage, Rip Curl’s most technically advanced boardshort, Rip Curl Creative Director James Taylor was seeking a campaign that ‘showcases the performance of the boardshort, showcases the team’s performance, and ties the two together in a revolutionary way’. Rip Curl and Timeslice Films, experts in camera array or ‘bullet-time’ technology, captured the critical moments in time often lost in the speed of high performance surfing with a 52-camera rig and Matrix-style effects.

Along with the feature video below there’s also a behind the scenes peek at the idea, technology and production.

Move the needle! Move the needle!

Moving the needle speaks to our deeply held desire to do work that makes a difference — to our client’s world, the way they do business and their bottom line.
